SOAS
On Wednesday, September 18th 2013 a group of keen Year 13 students made their way down to The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS); a constituent college of the University of London.
The day was packed with informative, relevant talks on each of the most popular subject choices at the school, as well as a tour of the campus followed by a short Q&A session. Specifically, my favourite part of the day had to be the talk on Arabic, never before had I learnt so much about such a huge language in such a short period of time. The day really opened my eyes up to new horizons in these sorts of areas, as the University offers a huge range of courses from Anthropology to Music. It was also worthwhile to see how students were coping with University life. The group highlight was definitely the tour of the library which is open to all of the students at the school; their collection was extensive which really harboured a great working environment. The trip has helped us all in our choices for UCAS this term, a really informative visit! 'Knowledge is Power'
