Boulogne 2015
On Wednesday 24th June 47 year 7 students and 5 staff departed very early in the morning on a day-trip to Boulogne-Sur-Mer in France. We made the short journey across the channel on the Eurotunnel and headed straight to the nearest hypermarket (Auchan) where we bought lots of French goodies (a bit of fromage, some brioches and lots of bonbons!). Following a quick supermarket sweep, we made our way through Boulogne town to the beach where we had our lunch, played football on the sand and soaked up some of the rays. Our former French assistant even drove to Boulogne to meet us. In the afternoon we went to Nausicaä (the aquarium) and watched a really cool sea lion show. The woman explained to us how she trained them, ‘en français’ of course! We all returned in the evening, fluent in French……c’était super!
