The Hydrogen Challenge
On Friday 21st March, a team of intrepid engineers from HCACP qualified in the regional heats of the Hydrogen fuel cell challenge, and were entered into London finals at City Hall. Full of enthusiasm from Science Week, they were determined to give it their best shot. Their task: to design a car to travel the furthest distance, powered by clean fuel, using mastery of cogs, gears and aerodynamics. Pitted against the best minds in London secondary schools, the team from HCACP came a very respectable 5th, and managed to make their car travel an impressive 32m. The students had a great day, performing admirably under pressure, and were a credit to the Academy.
