Science Week 2014

After a lot of whiz, some bang and a fair amount of fizz, National Science and Engineering Week at HCACP drew to a close on Friday 21st March.  This year’s activities were the best ever with incredible assemblies, fun treasure hunts, amazing animals, the stupendous Science evening and much more.  Students from Harris City Academy Crystal Palace are still talking about their Heads of Faculty dressing up in Morph suits and competing in a calorie burning dance-off.

The videos below were filmed for the weekly assembly, led by Mr Hammond and some Year 11 students.  The first opening sequence was played just before our Heads of Faculty (four sixth formers dressed in Morph suits) rushed into the assembly hall!

Our Heads of Faculty were then put to the test, in five challenges that put their body temperature, coordination, dance moves, speed and ability to generate a high voltage to the test!
