Jazz Workshop
The Jazz Workshop was an awesome day filled with lots of different activities. At 9am we started with a lecture/concert about the history of jazz music and they illustrated our journey through the years of slavery to the present day by playing and dancing. It was interesting how they were able to link jazz with modern types of music and to see how much we already knew. It was also a new experience to improvise as a group of more than twenty musicians and we really enjoyed it. The people that led the workshop performed four pieces at the end of the day and we were able to learn even more about the components of jazz music. All in all it was a great day! Thanks to Jazz FM and Jazzworks!
