Y7 French film making competition
In February the Franco-British Council in London ran a film competition for year 7’s with a great prize on offer: a day trip to Paris for the whole class! The challenge was to produce a film to persuade people to go and visit France. Our year 7’s rose to this challenge by choosing to make a film based on the recent move of the Beckhams to Paris. With over 70 entries, the competition was fierce. Although our film was not the winning entry, our film was amongst the entries of 9 schools who were considered to have entries of a very high standard and included in the shortlist. The judges commented on the film’s great contemporary feel and it's good command of French grammar. Congratulations to all our students involved in this competition – they did a brilliant job!
