European Day of Languages

Students at the Academy recently celebrated the European Day of Languages. Mr Stagg and Mr Robinson ran a series of assemblies showcasing the massive value of languages on the jobs market. Years 7 to 9 took part in a series of competitions organised by the department, one involving finding 10 teachers who speak a language other than English, another requiring them to crack a secret code by tracking down and translating posters stuck up around the Academy. The winners will be receiving prizes soon.
