Students Meet Croydon Mayor, Cllr Henson

Mayor (1)HCACP's Student Council met Croydon mayor, Councillor Maddie Henson, online today to share their successes in this second lockdown and their agenda for 2021.

The mayor also shared her agenda and answered some questions the students had about GCSEs, student mental health and the Croydon road closures. 

Cllr Henson (pictured) is a former HCACP student who has reached out to help inspire our students.

"I have always been driven above all else by a desire to help people, and as a teenager often supported friends to work through difficulties," said Cllr Henson. "My interest in politics came from my family and in particular from my Nan, and I became active in local politics when I was 16."

We'd like to thank Cllr Henson for giving our students this opportunity.
