Batch Production Vs Job Production
Year 11 Business Studies students are pictured learning about methods of production (including the pros and cons of batch vs job production) by making cookies.
They looked at the impact of new technology on a business, and how this helps make a business more efficient.
Students found that if they had used machines the products would consistently have been of a higher quality and customer service would have increased.
They also found when making things in one-off requests (job production) that it was a lot more time-consuming, which affects their profit margins.
Which is best? Batch production or job production?
