Outstanding sixth form examination results at HCACP
We are pleased to announce another year of outstanding sixth form examination results at HCACP. Despite a slight decline in the national picture at the highest grades, we have continued our upward trend of achieving our high aspirations for our students. 44% of students achieved A*-B grades which was 8% up on 2015. Similarly one in eight entries attained an A* or A grade at A-level, a 50% increase on the previous year. We are incredibly proud of our students who achieved an A* at A-level or Distinction* at BTEC: due to the sterling efforts of students and staff, achievement at the highest grade was more than double our previous year, making 2016 a year to be proud of. In particular we would like to acknowledge the achievement of Mehmet Asher (A*A*A), Matthew Dallas (A*AA), Freya Hyde (A*AA), Ashley Noel-Hurst (A*A*A). Equally a number of subjects did incredibly well with over two-thirds of students achieving A*-B in Further Maths, Geography, History, Media, Politics and Spanish.
